Does God pay or have a basic salary? Do we work for God and how rewarding is it?

Ecclesiastes 9
1 For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knows either love or hatred by all that is before them.

Reading this scripture lit up joy in my heart when I saw God is really concerned with everything in my life including my work, education, etc. To be sure I checked out the Hebrew meaning of the word “works” used in the scripture above.

1. work

Derived from

Transliteration: ‛âbad
Phonetic: aw-bad’
Definition:

1. to work, serve
a. (Qal)
1. to labour, work, do work
2. to work for another, serve another by labour 3. to serve as subjects 4. to serve (God) 5. to serve (with Levitical service) b. (Niphal) 1. to be worked, be tilled (of land) 2. to make oneself a servant.

Most Interesting, we all know that we are paid for our services rendered to men. Therefore, God also pays us for services rendered to him. Yes. Look at 1 Corinthians 15:58

your labour is not in vain to the Lord.

This means what he describes in Matt 6:31-33 stands to be true that God is able to pay us even for seeking his kingdom and his righteousness. In other words, seeking the things of His kingdom.
God pays us for supporting his ministry. It’s like an investment that yields interest like when you invest in a bank so Paul shares this mystery in Philippians 4:19 after the church sowed into his life and ministry.

Everything you do for God comes with a prize. He rewards you or pays you.

Now your work is in his hands and nothing evil or corrupt stays with this Holy God. What kind of work are you paid to do?

Everything in God’s hand prospers naturally. You don’t need extra concoctions and talismen or backbiting and corruption to make it prosper.

Keep being righteous and live under the Grace of the Spirit of wisdom and I assure you that your work/labour will keep prospering in God’s hand where the devil can’t touch.

Keep on with God’s business no matter your profession and schedule and I bet you, you will be amazed at how much he’ll pay you and cause your business and life to accelerate.

Our service to the Lord shall never be in vain. The words says those who win souls are wise. When I saw eccl 9 :1 I also saw that the wise and their works also means that the soul winners and their acts of winning souls are in the hands of God n they shall be rewarded Glory. Therefore seeking after righteousness n winning souls, these services shall be rewarded by God Hallelujah

Anything you do for God comes with a reward. In other words, I’m God’s employee??

Salary is a kind of reward given to someone for the work he or she has done, or in other words it is a payment of a service rendered by a person to another person. You only get a reward for a service you rendered or a work you did. And God reward anyone who works for him.Hebrews 11:6 says God rewards those who seek Him. And Matthew 6:33 says seek the kingdom of God and it righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. With this we get to know there is a work and reward. Seeking… Read more »
